This was a lesson that I had to learn the hard way. And it is one that I continue to learn as my business grows.
Luckily, I know some pretty amazing people so they were able to come and save me. And the biggest lesson for me was that it is okay to say no – no matter how much you want to say yes.
A lot of times you might think that you need to….
know all of the things
do all of the things and
be all of the things.
But there will be a time when you realize, it’s okay.
There’s so much to learn when you have an online business or any business for that matter. But when you add the complexities of being online, it adds a new layer of…
things you need to learn
things you need to do and
ways to do them.
But often you don’t want to relinquish control. Or you want to continue to try to push through it no matter how difficult.
Sometimes admitting defeat is the bravest thing you can do.
You need to realize what you are good at and do it.
Not good at designing and building websites, don’t do it.
Not good at creating copy for your website or your marketing, don’t do it.
Not good at project management, don’t do it.
Sometimes you have to fail in order to see your weaknesses. And that failure is very hard to handle.
You just might end up looking less than perfect. But it is going to be okay. The anxiety will pass. The guilt will subside. And remember, you are enough.
Maybe you think you can do everything – no matter how challenging. Obviously, you are good at a lot of things but you cannot be good at everything.
Focus on those things you are good at and that you love, then everything else will fall into place.
A lot of people struggle with the technical aspects of creating their website. This struggle can sometimes delay the entire process.
Or maybe it is the copy that goes on the website. Or the brand that is the foundation of the website.
BUT it is so much easier when you realize that…
your time is better served
your stress is better maintained
your joy is more evident…
…when you get the help you need.
And not just anyone – you have to hire the right person to do the right job each time.
Knowing if you are working with the right person can be apparent right away. When you have your initial call, do they make you feel confident in the process?
Do you love their previous work? Did you vibe with them? Then it may be the perfect match.
If you are sick of wasting your time trying to figure out how to make you website work, let’s see if we are a perfect match!
